A printmaker based in Ithaca, NY, my inspiration derives from the man-made as well as the natural environment. The work is about stories of wetland along Hudson River during the different times of the year. The images conjure specific associations and memories mostly with moments of places travelled. Extracted from the context, segmented lines and disjointed shapes of earth and water, plants and micro-organism are the subject matter. 

Through the man-made surfaces, such as roads and settlements, or valleys and rivers found in nature, the images convey the nostalgy of being connected and the separations being dislocated with our landscape. It explores the possibility of materiality and texture in a print.  Mixtures of mulberry pulp, ink, gampi paper enforce the temporal quality of everchanging seasons and weather, adding a sense of quietude.
